A Thomistic Solution to the Deep Problem for Perfectionism

Abstract Perfectionism is the view that what intrinsically good fulfillment of human nature or development and exercise characteristic capacities. An important objection to theory Gwen Bradford calls “Deep Problem”: explaining why nature-fulfillment good. We argue situating perfectionism within a Thomistic metaethical framework adopting Aquinas's account metaphysical “convertibility” being goodness gives us solution Deep Problem. In short, consists in actualization potentialities fullness being, because ultimately same thing as goodness, show meets requirements for an answer Problem, provides best explanation possible fulfillment, natural foundation perfectionist theories value.
